Featured Speaker:  Dr. Joshua Bartholomew

 “A Trinidad and Tobago native with roots in Roxbury, Boston, MA.  Dr.  Bartholomew serves as the Youth Pastor of the historic Twelfth Baptist Church. Dr. Bartholomew earned a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Theology from Fordham University in the Bronx, a Masters of Divinity in Systematic Theology from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, and a Ph.D. in Religious and Theological Studies from The University of Denver and Iliff School of Theology. His fields of concentration include interdisciplinary work in the areas of Christian social ethics, racial formation theory, and political economics. Dr. Bartholomew’s academic research deals with the relationship between economic justice and racial equality within the United States and its transnational range of influence. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dr. Bartholomew conducted a systematic investigation into violence prevention and the evaluation of anti-hate campaigns and counter-terrorism initiatives. As a Brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Dr. Bartholomew remains committed to community service, education, and, of course, love for all humankind.”
